NICOLAS BÉTRANCOURT — PRODUCER
Nicolas was born in Le Havre, France, in the sixties — facing Southampton, not far from Liverpool. Which technically makes him the 6th or 7th Beatle. He chose images over music. Recording studios may have missed a star, but the film industry got one hell of a producer.
Nico cut his teeth in the late 80s golden age of advertising and music videos at Première Heure, Paris’s hippest production company at the time. In less than a decade, he was involved in over a thousand ad films and music videos — and won France’s very first music video award.
He then co-founded C’est La Vie Productions, with offices in Paris and London, lighting up the 90s with the decade’s most iconic music videos and commercial films for labels including Sony Music, Universal, Warner, EMI, Virgin, Mercury and Barclay.
In the early 2000s, Nico launched Nicocorp — because he’s a producer, not a copywriter — and never looked back. For the past 20+ years, he has brought the world to France: shooting for international clients, delivering outstanding crews, discovering extraordinary locations, and always making sure there’s a good bottle of wine at the end of the day.
